Interesting idea! Actually, when I was writing this post, I had a thought that it would be cool to be able to play Aztec game as video game! Because it's quite difficult to imagine a game only by reading rules, so it would give people a chance to actually experience that historical sport.
I have this idea for a football game.
You play as Aztec teams, in an Aztec setting with other Aztec teams. Aztec rule set.
And the team which loses gets sacrificed to the Gods.
And the player gets to witness a gory, tragicomical cutscene of the offering, with a lot of blood and begging for life.
